AUDUBON, N.J., July 27, 2012 /PRNewswire/ -- National Automobile Dealers Association (NADA) And NCM "20 Group" / Convention Speaker Sean V. Bradley, CEO of Dealer Synergy and founder of http://www.automotiveinternetsales.com Announces The Upcoming Automotive "Internet Sales 20 Group" in Chicago October 23-25, 2012. The Upcoming Automotive Internet Sales 20 Group will be held at the beautiful downtown Chicago Hilton. This is a "20 Group" / Boot Camp for success. The dates are the exact same dates as the upcoming Digital Dealer Convention. The "Internet Sales 20 Group" is the perfect alternative to the "Digital Dealer Convention." Our research shows that more dealers prefer to send their executives, managers, Internet Sales / BDC team to a FOCUSED workshop with a powerful instructional design with a beginning, middle and an end rather than a large convention with numerous speakers speaking at the same time with different messages, sometimes even contradicting each other. At the Internet Sales 20 Group there will be One message, One design all focused for the attendees to learn and most importantly implement immediately upon their return to their respective dealerships. Sean V. Bradley is quoted as saying, "As a Charter Member of the Association of Automotive Internet Sales Professionals and Former General Assembly Speaker for the Digital Dealer Conference I have learned a lot over the years. There is value of getting 200-300 dealers in one area and have workshops, training, vendor booths etc…for them to 'connect' with like minded people with the same goal, 'Automotive Internet Sales & Digital Marketing Success.' Here is the problem though, when you get so big, things slip through the cracks. Our research shows that today's Dealerships prefer precision, focused, workshops that they can learn and implement from. Not to be confused when they leave with the massive sensory overload. A Great analogy is Dealerships prefer a 5 Star Restaurant rather than a good buffet. And that is exactly what the 'Internet Sales 20 Group' is…a 5 Star Restaurant." The Automotive Sales Industry is fully supporting the upcoming Internet Sales 20 Group. We have some of the most prestigious sponsors in the industry, including: AutoSuccess Magazine AutoUSA Cars.com Carsdirect.com Car-Mercial Cactus Sky Dealer eTraining Dealer Synergy FranklinCovey Reach Local And there are lot more that are being added everyday. Special Guest Speakers Announced: Bill Finocchario – President of Peruzzi Toyota. Bill's Internet department grew from 37 units per month to 119 units per month and because of his profound success, Bill was a Cover Story for Auto Dealer Monthly Magazine Durran Cage – General Sales Manger of Alan Vines Automotive. Durran went from being a Chrysler OEM rep to an Internet Director selling 27 units online to 95 units online and then promoted to GSM. Durran is the September 2012 Cover story for AutoSuccess Magazine Robert Wiesman – Expert Sales Consultant, delivering 30+ units per month. Robert has more online visibility that the AVERAGE dealership! Robert has been nationally recognized for his profound success. http://www.robertwiesman.com The Internet Sales 20 Group is not until late October, so there will be many additions to the Speaker and Sponsorship list. The 2011 Digital Marketing Strategies Conference (DMSC) scheduled February 1-3, 2011 just prior to the 2011 NADA Convention has exceeded its pre-registration goals. Brian Pasch, CEO of PCG Digital Marketing, who is organizing the conference, attributed the pre-registration success to dealers focusing on education.

“In a recent survey conducted by PCG, 45% of car dealers said that their staff was not adequately trained to lead a competitive digital marketing and social media strategy for their dealership. With the outstanding lineup of speakers and educators at the DMSC, it is no surprise the dealer principals, managers, and eCommerce directors have registered.”

The Digital Marketing Strategies Conference is conveniently schedule prior to the popular NADA Convention, which is held this year in San Francisco. Attendees of the conference who are planning to attend NADA will be transported to San Francisco on Friday February 4th and will not miss any of the scheduled events at NADA.

Attendees of the Digital Marketing Strategies Conference will also benefit from the conference format. All meals are included in the registration fee so that attendees will have ample time to build lasting friendship over mealtime. Since the conference is being held in the Napa Valley, dinners will feature award-winning wines introduced by the winemaker/owners of the vineyards.

Conference Handbook Exceeds 150 Pages

Pasch added, “This year we have also created a 150 page digital marketing and social media handbook. The book is packaged with articles, resources, and tips from the speakers and educators at the conference. The handbook will be a great resource to review and leverage all year round since there are few books in print specifically targeting automotive digital marketing.”

Automotive educators and speakers include Jared Hamilton, Sean Wolfington, JR Rucker, Alex Snyder, Gary May, Matt Murray, Glenn Pasch, Christy Roman, Joe Webb, Scott Falcone, and Christine Rochelle.

Sponsors of the DMSC include Dealer.com, VinSolutions, TK Carsites, Smart Web Concepts, Presto Reviews, DealerFire, CAR-MERCIAL, and DealerTrend.

Registration for the 2011 Digital Marketing Strategies Conference closes on January 28, 2011. Dealers interested in attend can visit http://www.digitalmarketingstrategies.org to register.

Hotel rooms can be booked at http://www.marriot.com since the event is being held at the Napa Valley Marriot Hotel.

ADM Members Invited to Superbowl Party

There is a very serious need to monitor your dealership's reputation both positively and negatively as well as have an action plan / strategy to protect it. There are a lot of Dealership Online Reputation sites, software, strategies that are 'proactive' that can assist a dealership in harvesting positive reviews. However, there are NO 'reactive' solutions for dealers that are victims of negative reviews or point blank 'Cyber Terrorists' that try to decimate a dealership's reputation online for whatever reason.Dealer Review Boost is a POWERFUL answer to negative reviews a dealership might get as well as the ONLY real 'reactive' solution once a dealership has an 'online reputation' issue. Dealer Review Boost can rectify the situation and neutralize the negative reviews very quickly."

The service will consist of two packages and will cater to dealerships that are experiencing varying degrees of on-line reputation. While most dealerships have at least some reviews, both positive and negative, the proper package will be determined by the number of reviews, the directories and search engines that the reviews are currently listed in and the severity of the negative reputation.  For the premium package, "we encompass all angles and strategies possible" to restore and enhance their reputation, said Rivas.

The Dealer Review Boost is scheduled to launch at the National Automobile Dealers Association (NADA) Convention,February 5th, at the Moscone Center in San Francisco, Ca.  Bradley, a featured speaker at the convention, and Rivas will also be hosting a press conference at the center.

New car sales expected to grow by 1.1 million in 2010 - Repost from NADA Newsletter / Dayton Daily News By Tim Tresslar, Staff Writer

Pent-up demand is driving new vehicle sales to their highest level since 2008, an auto dealers trade group said.

Sales of light vehicles, on the decline since at least 2006, have accelerated this year, according to the National Automobile Dealers Association. Paul Taylor, an NADA economist, said Tuesday that NADA officials look for sales to reach 11.5 million vehicles this year. In comparison, new vehicles sales reached 10.4 million in 2009.

In 2008, dealerships sold 13.2 million new vehicles while in 2007 they sold 16.1 million, the NADA said.

Taylor said improvements in the stock market and pent-up demand created from consumers putting off purchases will push up car purchases next year.

The period between Christmas Day and New Year’s Day tends to be one of the briskest for dealers, Taylor said. A combination of consumers armed with time off from work and cash given to them as gifts, along with heavy promotion by the auto industry fuel the increased demand, he said.

An upturn in the automotive industry is good news for Ohio, which remains one of the nation’s largest producers of motor vehicles. Additionally, Ohio’s new vehicle dealerships generate $17.8 billion in sales and employ more than 38,000, according to NADA figures.

Larry Taylor, vice president and general manager of Beau Townsend Ford in Vandalia, said his dealership is on track to sell 260 new and used vehicles in December, compared to 156 in December 2009. He also anticipates higher sales in the first quarter of next year.

He attributes the gains to pent-up demand by consumers, who have put off buying cars as long as possible, and by consolidation of local dealerships.

“I think I’m getting a bigger piece of a smaller pie,” he said.

Jeff Reichard, vice president of Reichard Buick GMC, said sales this year of Buicks have increased 17 percent while GMC sales have climbed 131 percent, compared to a year ago. December sales also are higher than the same month in 2009, he said.

Demand for the Terrain, a compact crossover SUV, and to a lesser extent the Acadia have helped drive gains in GMC’s sales, Reichard said Tuesday.

I wanted to wish everyone a VERY Happy Thanksgiving from me, my family and the entire Dealer Synergy Team. I personally have a tremendous amount to be Thankful for. As you might or might not know, I was in a horrific, near fatal Jet Ski accident in Puerto Rico this past summer. It was a sureal experieince to say the least, I was in Puerto Rico for 2 months and out of work for over 3 months due to the accident. I had a lot of time to think, reflect and truly appreciate what I have. Sometimes when you are going at "warp" speed everyday things might get taken for granted. I am Thankful for my life, to be able to breathe. As simple as that may sound I am sincere. I am blessed and Thankful for my family, friends, company, clients and the ability to do what I love each and every day.

Life is WAY Too Short!! BeThankful that you have life and the opportunity to be and do anything you want to do. Reflect... Soak it all in... Enjoy it!

God Bless and Happy Thanksgiving

Internet Sales 20 Group, November 8th 2010 - Mid Day Recap - Automotive Internet Sales - Sean V. Bradley

This morning was VERY exciting! We have dealerships from all over the country in attendance as well as a diverse group. Most of the attendees are executive management (Dealer Principals, GMs etc...). We also have a Video Production and Photography team. We are going to create a TON of content that we can post to this site as well as provide to the attendees to reference back. This is going to be a POWER PACKED 3 day workshop with a ton of valuable information...

We first introduced the group to each other... discussed their internet operations as well as identified their individual goals for attending this Internet Sales 20 Group. I also asked what challenges are they experiencing at their dealerships / departments... After we collected all problems, questions and issues. I went one by one and addressed each and every issue. Gave action plans, advice and direction.

We also went over metrics, statistics and benchmarks.

*** We also as a group came up with the 20 Group composite / data metrics we are going to follow and analyze in this group.

It was truly awesome to moderate this group... I am learning as much as I am educating.

After everyone comes back from lunch we are going to do some break out sessions as well as some Mystery Shopping Calls, Some ILM / CRM disecting and investigations...

Then later on tonight we are having a VIP Dinner... all of the 20 Group will get together and network and socialize with each other.

Despite the ups and downs of the last year, it appears the auto business is slowly moving upward on the activity meter. If this trend holds, 2011 should be a pretty good year for the auto business, but you need to start you planning now. Since we’re in October, it’s time to make plans to attend the NADA Convention in San Francisco February 5-7, 2011. To get the best hotel rooms and flights, you might consider booking now to save yourself the scramble later. This promises to be an innovative year on the exhibition floor. As in past years, there will probably be one, stronger theme throughout the hall. My prediction is Social Marketing. I think we can look forward to half the booth holders adding some form of social marketing to their offerings. This prediction is based on the trends we are seeing in the larger product businesses like Proctor & Gamble. Big business has discovered that you can reach a half million eyeballs using Facebook and engage the customer with the product for a lot less money than it costs to reach that same number of people using traditional media. Watch for auto dealers to ramp up their engagement with social media sources like Facebook, Twitter, and Foursquare. To the skeptics that say, “Consumers don’t want to communicate with an auto dealership on Facebook,” you are wrong. What consumers don’t want is to be hit with sales messages on Facebook. The secret to Facebook and all social marketing is the concept of “giving.” This is hard concept for us in the car business to grasp. The value of Facebook to an auto dealer is to make friends with people who will eventually need to buy a car. You don’t make friends by saying, “Hey we have cars on sale!” You make friends by saying, “Acme Ford is participating in the March for Breast Cancer. We will donate additional cash to the March for every person that signs up to be on our team.” Or, another “giving” form of social marketing would be to say, “If you’re a Mustang fan, check out the Mustang Club that Acme Ford has formed. Sign up today and receive our free book, The Ford Mustang: American Classic, just for joining the club.” Do you see the difference between trying to push people with sales messages instead of pulling them with “giving” messages? A good way to learn more about using social marketing for your dealership is to go on Facebook and see how other businesses are engaging customers. The ones with the most friends are probably doing it correctly. Once you have earned the trust of a lot of “friends” on Facebook, you can communicate with a ton of potential customers without spending anything in the way of media dollars. Zero is a really nice price for marketing. If you are not savvy at Facebook, find someone who is to handle your Facebook site. Just make sure they understand “giving” vs. pushing.
